⌛ Special Education Fund

Hi,

This will be my first post on this board!

In the recent annual property tax we paid, there was a line called "contribution to Special Education Fund" and a sum of PHP900. The annual property tax was on around PHP1500. I read somewhere on the internet that the contribution to the Special Education Fund (SEF) is 1 percent of the property tax you're paying, but PHP900 seems to be too much..?

Anyone knows anything about this?

Why would the land tax dept be taking out anything for Education?? and if they are what education ,for who, and whats special about it. Sounds like a rip off. Poorly disguised rip off, but a rip off all the same.
