Judging by the lack of response to your question, it would appear that there is none in the vicinity.
Never mind there's plenty more fish in the sea......Which is a subject I have not come across on the forum BTW

There are a few ponds in Mabinay that had a little resort. Last I checked the owner had passed away and it was shut down. Unsure if it reopened or not. I assume it has tilapia but I only went after striped snakehead.

I was told that Twin Lakes had tilapia; I fished it like 10 years ago from the shore for only an hour and did not get a bite.

Tilapia are a fun fish to catch and are really good eating, when I was in Puerto Rico I caught some monsters.

I'm having some problems getting my acre pond to seal; once that is sorted there will be tilapia, snakehead and catfish to start. That is to come later though.

    hi guys...
i appreciate the feedback on my tilapia fishing search. the DuckDuckGo AI Assist says tilapia fishing in Balinsasayao Twin Lakes Natural Park (twin lakes) is permitted so a friend and i are going to check it out next sunday, i'll report back here on the adventure if it happens.

    meanwhile...
a past 'duma-info' member, Mike Alano, has a string of fishing related posts here:

mike also has a utube channel with some fishing vids for the duma area:

there's also, what looks to be, a fishing club in the area. search 'dumaguete angler' on utube.
    https://www.youtube.com/@DumagueteAngler.
i tried some of their spots but never had any action.

and... there's some fishing from the dumaguete seawall/boulevard.

    good fishing...

Too bad it hasn't opened back up, it was an inexpensive place to spend a couple nights, and the fishing was decent for snakehead. Curious if it is on the market.

The soil is clay so my assumption was that it would be easy to seal. We tried sodium bentonite but that didn't work either. We will try again, but I need to be home this time just to make sure the correct process is done. I did look around if someone locally had experience but could not find anyone.
