where are you from ? yeah I noticed that particular american guy at LIC was making smart arse comments to all new people so when he did it to me I fronted him.

I envy you going to the Phils in a couple of months. I'm stuck in Perth with son completing final year at high school so can't escape until late November.

actually, I need to say thanks to all of you guys. I got some great PM's from "just-reading_members, who went into the same direction of those posted ones from you guys in different threads. I think we have a great and fun community here, who also can discuss serious. I wanna keep it like that.

Anyway, we all have different reasons why we are here in the PI, one we should have all together is .... Having fun !!!

Rhoody, I would like to add my thanks for the job you are doing here also. I too was on the LIC forum and took myself out because the idiots they were letting post on there. This site is exactly what I was looking for, a place to share about life in the Philippines. My wife and I plan on moving to Siquijor in a couple of years and I want to learn more about the Philippines. I have been to the PI many times over the course of many years and have stayed there for extended periods but never "lived" there permanately.

I see there is a new thread on building houses, that is great as that is where my interests lie.
