Played it for my wife this evening. She liked it too. Nice advert in the middle . Could use a good guitar solo (maybe dual-guitars), something along the lines of Hotel California's guitar-work.....you can also add 'but you can never leave........' :D

Original Dumaguete Song

We have our own Dumaguete Song originally composed by a Dumagitnon named “ Katong “ which is filled with sentiment, a very soft waltzing melody . Just like any other cultured nation’s national anthem. It was well accepted with respect and pride by the community. That was the 60’s.

If the local new generation of Dumaguete did not know anything about this, then the previous generation did a poor job of passing it on to them. Maybe we were just to busy thinking about leaving Dumaguete.

I think this is a good trevia question worth a US$ “GRAND”.

What was the name of the original Dumaguete Song written and composed by a person named “ Katong”, clue: Katong is (or was if he’s already dead) gay.

I know what you are talking about the gay "Katong". Yes, he died several years ago. When I was little (about 5 years old), I used to go to his piano studio with my mother not to learn piano but just to play the key-boards one at a time while my mother waited for "Katong". He was supposed to be my uncle (4th degree). Yes, he was the one who composed the old Dumaguete song. If by any chance, you find the old song Dumaguete, would you please e-mail me?
