great new restaurant on st catilina. really nice decor, upstairs is very modern korean. we had 4 dishes and 3 were great. there are about 30 dishes on the menu, covering italian, mexican, fusion and local. i for one will be working through the full menu. recommend the nicky's special curry crepe. owned by the korean couple that have noritor and the korean barbers

    great addition to town
    enjoy

See Rhoody someone liked it, and an eclectic mix at that! Al told me about the seating Japanese style. And probably they are nice people too.

I never said it's bad... I was there already and I would say it is... hmmm quite tasty and not expensive, but has nothing to do with italian, mexican or whatever food at all. Just because you name the dish Italian or mexican does not mean it is...

A korean owned mexican-italian-fusion-local restaurant with japanese seating still brings a smile up into my face on this sunday brownout-morning

Like my ice-diving course on Apo. I can teach the theory and equipment preparation but would never be able to provide my customers the real expierience...

Nikkis is closed due to "outstanding quality", "big portions" resulting in "good business"

the owners have skipped town for a while now and the menu is in slight decline, but still very good.

re rhoody remark - while mcdonalds have standarized everything, you have to take into account the availability an economics of products in dumaguete and in cebu and variations of tastes.
new york is widely credited with inventing the modern pizza, but the italians in italy, did a pretty good job at adopting it. there is not one major kitchen in the world without a multinational staff. they do a pretty good job at different styles, however the dishes are labeled in theory. most ethnic restaurants serve food that is unrecognizable to a picky native.
that is how dishes and demand evolve, our palette is different to out grandparents. thank god

nicky's kitchen offers a range of food that was previously unavailable in dumaguete. if u value diversity try it out.

Sir, see my post above yours
Nikki's kitchen is closed !!! ... and it wasn't me... customers decided obviously that the place is NOT worth going there. It can't be the location, as other placec in the same street are packed.

the owners had to skip town in a hurry. that is the reason for the closure. it must have closed recently

nicky's had between 10 and 25 customers everytime i was in there.

not everywhere around there is packed, the place between garaha and boston market, never has a customer and i think their food is better than the volume of their customers indicates. i understand why so may people choose not to go, but different horses for different courses

i hope that it does not put off investors, that are thinking about something innovative. the greater the choice the better

 barramac, I can tell you like food and its diversities. My husband and I both cook and our daughter is a chef to the entertainment industry in California. We love to dine and been around and still want to explore if there's something new in the neighborhood especially in Duma. New experience is always priceless. Keep an eye of what's new for us. Thanks.
