And in fact they just SMSed my wife (the account holder) saying that there is a technical problem which they hope to resolve within 24 hours. I guess 24 hours is not bad for them considering when you have a line fault, they quote 6 days.
After Easter weekend I'll get Filproducts and just use PLDT as a backup.

Well they just unstuck that cargo ship in the Suez Canal yesterday. Maybe PLDT will start to get some internet packet deliveries in soon.

Back to normal this morning. Frankfurt is 107 Mbps down, 48 Mbps up.
PLDT is just too unreliable though. And I bet it won't be that fast in peak hours tonight.

Hi Foobar, Don't forget Fil Products lease there fiber backend from PLDT, I don't know if that is 100% of their data and I had heard they will possibly have an option with Dito for competition in the future.

I have two Fil products connections (home and office) and there has been considerable lag and issues just like the PLDT folk here. Just when it seems okay some simple page wont load, speed test takes 5 minutes to find a server then tests with okay speeds.

Yes I know they use PLDT's backbone. But the general consensus is that customer service is more responsive and more informative, and maintenance of the 'last mile' cabling is quicker. That's definitely worth something.

The PLDT 5 G line today is 165 Mbps..that’s connecting to pldt server in Cebu.
The regular PLDT fiber line is 66.3 Mbps with same server.I’m using an 8th generation iPad.
The upload on the 5G line is 130’s and normal fiber is 32. Mbps.

Does everyone have the 2 PLDT Fiber lines on one account?
