The brothers that own the largest group of Thai restaurants in Cebu hire all of their cooks from Thailand. Seems to work well for them.

    Mind The Poachers !

Welcome trueTY, Nice to see a New Name with some enthusiasm, Hope you have a good Time here, I guess you are here to stay? What ever you decide on, do some checking around about who controls what, Some of the longer established and More influentials here in our fair city are not always nice to new ventures from outside, Funny how extra requirements are put on foreigners. Don't be put off by these comments, Just cover all bases and mind the poachers, mind what you say in the open. I will just wish you the very best in any venture.

d*mn KtF, your mex food pictures are killing me, I 2nd the motion, Mex restaurant first with a cousin opening a Thai joint, both can replace the pretender at the far end of the blvd. Only reason I miss San Diego are the fantastic Mex and Thai resaurants. Hell, I'd almost settle for Taco Bell here.

    Taco Bell

TTY, please see Knowdafish's entry on Taco Bell. There are now apparently 2 franchises in greater Manila. When one of the less-than-good restaurants in the back of Robinson's mall goes out of business, please consider opening up a Taco Bell. We could use a Starbucks there as well, although I like Bo's. But I believe a close to authentic Thai at Robinson's would be very successful. I can invest p5,000 if you need a partner.
