These two pictures are from the local Piggery near My house in Natasha Village 2.Last I recall the prices were P2,000-2,500 for a fully cooked Lechon. Not bad considering the same thing here in California cost You closer to $200 U.S...

and it was four times than those little piggy's. :p

Thank you, John, for sharing those pics. The prices seem reasonable for small sized lechons. I guess one can order larger sized ones depending on one's party need. Now, with rising inflation, expect to pay more.

Halo there Jimeve, if you paid that price for a larger pig, you've been ripped off. You might be mistaken for your 35,000 for 3,500PhP.

Hi Chrissar, my mistake 5,000 peso, and the pig's weight was 70 kilos,
    according to my asawa.

I've heard lechon is awfully tasty, but couldn't work in place like that.

Those poor fellas...though I don't usually think about that when the ham or pork is on my plate

Well I would sure not have lived in the Philippines, if I were a pig.
I doubt there is never a place more far from the "Pig Heaven" than there.

During the blessing of my house in Bacong we had 4 pigs. These to for Lechon and two 75 kilos each for ordinary dishes.
The two big ones I only videoed. (no photos).
And there will always be a mystery to me how small philippinos are able to eat so much during so short time.:D
