I'll be in Dumaguete for about one week in December in my search for the 'perfect' early retirement place in the Philippines. My pal from earlier PI trips recommended staying at the C + L Suites. Any good/bad info on this place? Does anybody know if they have internet connection in the rooms?
internet in the hotels Trust me , I come from The Netherlands ( Rotterdam ) and find just like so many other EU citizen Duma and the rest of the palces her just ideal exept for the power supply. CL is quite reasonabl but no internet in the rooms. As far as I know NON of the hotel has such accomodatioin.. HOWEVER just 2 minutes from CL you will find MC Donald with free WIFI ,that is if you buy a burger ..or two.. Also Uymatiao internet cafe provieds such for those that bring in their own laptop.. they also serve food starting this week... Enjoy your stay.. Earl
Thanks earlmh for the information on WIFI. I'll be in Dumaguete in October and I'm bringing my laptop. Any other WIFI locales either gratis or with a subscription? If the latter, what are the particulars and a URL linking to the service? Appreciate the help!
Uymatiao is very popular and an other 2 minutes further , that is if you walk...slow... they will charge you 24 peso per hour that is some 35 euro cent !!! Uy serve a great variety on snacks and food nowadys.. and good coffee ( unlike MC DO !!) The cite has internet cafes in every street and more to choose from..
If you wanna stay outside Dumaguete (and pay more) there are quite some Resorts who are offering WIFI... cheers Rhoody
