I'm glad I started this thread. I never thought that we all were this diversified. It is always good to have a mix of ages when discussing anything (except maybe politics).
And I totally agree about wishing all of the young ex-pats the best of luck here.
I found my paradise, and I hope others will also.

We count 2gether 88 years of which 25% is for the account of my lovely filipina.

 

We beat you all........120 here....she is 51. So nice to be married to a well educate Filipina, we alwasy have things to talk about and discuss and it never gets old. We know of 3 couples and all 3 women were filipinas, nice a beautiful, but they had nothing between their ears. No knowledge about the past and all about them was noice and music and MONEY! Do not fall for the exterior beauty and sex, it will get old very soon and nothing is left if no education and at least 35 years of age. Making babies is no solution to the contrary. It is better to be safe than sorry!

 

I largely agree with you TimB. Most conversations are an exchange of parts of life stories. The more life experiences you've had the easier it is to find some point of common interest. That being said; I think that any couple could do well talking about today, tomorrow and next week. In the service I knew a man who married a 13 yr old girl, but it's ok because he was 12 at the time. They'd been married 20 years at least by the time I met him. They must have talked sometimes. And that's a true part of my life story. Robert K

 

TimB.....sad, but so very true. My wife and I have a great relationship in every way, but, there are times when conversations don't work right because of our age gap.
This being Halloween, I mentioned that in 1938 was the first radio broadcast of "war of the Worlds", then spent the next hour explaining it all to her.
Then, I had to explain to her that "before TV" we all listened to stories on the radio, like The Green Hornet.....oh, never mind.....it's all lost now.

Me, I plead insanity, I'm just crazy about my (young) filipina....

 

There is nobody that I would rather be with than my wife. And I will always laugh and deal with the 45 year age gap. Doesn't bother me at all.
