Where do I look for an isolated small piece of land in the mountains that is extremely cheap?

    Any ideas?

No house. No nothing. Just a place in the bush were very few people go.

We sometimes run into properties in the P10-P50 per meter range. However, usually they are large tracts of land, and/or have little or no access, and/or are tax declaration properties.

Dont think you will have much luck there, any smaller tracts will be family owned and only temporarily abandoned due to NPA activity. Some of my inlaws come from the mountains around Valencia and none of them have given up ownership of their lands and if money was to be made there are just too many hands that will come out to get a share and you will not get title to the land unless every one of them gets a piece. If you find "affordable" land, its a scam, kiss your depost goodbye.

    Thanks for the replies

I guess dreams of living off the land and abandoning that old beast, money, are out the window these days. That's too bad.

I guess it's the gypsy life from here on out.

    But think of the adventure!!!
Think of the awe when a meal appears out of no where just when you need it!!!
Think of those transcendent moments that aren't captured in books or on TV!!!
Think about sleeping under the stars breathing crisp, fresh air!!!
Think of the complete lack of missionaries on bicycles!!!

    :D:smile:

    Thanks everyone,

    and take care.

Can't talk about stuff like that any more. Too many Messiahs on the planet.

    Good luck to you too.

Don't think too many meals are going to appear out of nowhere....anything that can be eaten has been....twenty years ago...

And sadly...Mormon missionaries on bicycles (much as I admire their dedication and they are generally very good people) are becoming more common on Negros. Even in small towns....

    Cheap land

    Tardis,

I know of between 2.7 to maybe 2.9 hectares in some mountains north of Duma - asking price is something like 0.45 centavos sm. I was planig on going to look at it soon...I THINK there is direct road frontage...electric.available.
But you'd have to buy the whole sheebang...no subdividing.
    Interested?
