I just got a note by Edelweiss that they start this week with a Friday special. It is called Ripperl-Partie mit Semmelnknödeln und Kartoffeln The dish is a kind of posk BBQ-ribs with bread-dumplings and potatoes. The difference is that the rips get their golden shine in a few hours in the oven. That all comes for about 295 Peso and tastes even better with a cold draft. cheers Rhoody
i'll try that out i just live in the subdivision where edelweiss is located and sad to say i haven't visited my neighboring bar yet. i guess i owe it to the not-so-glorious reviews they got here in DI which i read before. now i'm thinking about going there finally.. can anyone update me with their unbiased takes on the bar?
To me food is food, and to the eaters personal taste, something to me with too much ginger or coriander in is horrible, i say try it and see then give us your opinion
I think that just because it is a Friday special it does not mean they don't have it on their regular menu during the week. I have that the Friday "special" on many occasions was special in price only. Often a little cheaper. Remember that while "a picture paints a thousand words the proof is in the pudding."
I also live nearby and the place is a winner! I'm not into the bar per se, being an abstainer. The food is superb! Everything about this restaurant strikes me the right way: the welcome, the decor, the costuming of the staff, the CRs, the table settings and the service. The onion soup alone is to die for! The Edelweiss deserves a try at the very least!
