While giving it a useless try to sort thousands of images of the last 2 month I stumbled across some pictures of food in Dumaguete. I have been on a see-food-diet (I see food - I eat food) until last Monday i don't wonder that my office chair just broke. As a result I am on a look-only diet trying to lose at least 20kg. sorting through this pictures does not make it easier. But if anybody else tries to lose some weights, be welcome to suffer with me looking at this pictures... :(
OFF Topic ... maybe we don't even have brownouts here and NORECO is not to blame... we just use the wrong outlets ... :D cheers for today Rhoody
Maybe it's just me...but I generally like Filipino food. Like any rational food fan...Thai and Vietnamese is miles better...but that said, Filipino food is usually pleasant, a lot of it is healthier than you'd expect....and it's not really challenging (ie too hot or too bizarre)...Anyway...love the pizza photos....remind me of the sh*t in Rome that tourists (including me a couple time - spend) on sh*t...and grovel over to pretend they haven't been robbed...at $20 a small one....Food in the Philippines is pretty good....pleasant comes to mind very easily..
there is quite some Filipino food on the pictures... and I agree with you that it is good. well, for a short period of time like a few weeks or month. when talking about food we need to see the normal local food, not the few delicate dishes prepared in a local upscale restaurant or by our asawa where we try to explain for years that it is no need to fry, boil etc each single vitamin and valuable out of it. the average local dish is pretty much a bowl of rice and something cooked to death on top.
Looks very good...but but but! It made me hungry when I looked at all those good food pics, but at the same time some dishes made me worried. It is OK to eat the food if your Blood Pressure is no more than 120-130 over 70-80. Blood sugar (glucose) low 85 but never higher than 125. None or very low cholesterol level. When all 3 are checked, enjoy your eating and why not a glas of wine. Food intake control every day can and will make you stay healthy and enjoy a longer life. It is never to late to get a check-up. Fish is very healthy, and FOI for the first time Robinson's is selling Pompano Fish, Tilapia and Seabass. Pricing is OK. Eat, enjoy and stay happy! Benjamin
