Maybe some of you with goatee experience can advise me. For the first time in my life and for fun I decided to grow a goatee, expecting a salt and pepper distinguished look. Five days into it I am wondering when the pepper will show up?:confused
i have had a full beard for many years..that is until i met and married my wife.....but when it was growing the goatee area was dark and the rest was very light colored...but then again i have always been a bit backwards

The key is a good shampoo and conditioner on the beard. The longer the hair the softer it is also. The short, stubly look would indeed be uncomfortable for the woman. My wife has asked me to shave mine off, but when I told her I look better with it she agreed that I should keep it! :D
I can go maybe 40 days, then it just gets too itchy and I have to shave it off. Oh yah nothing like hair coloring to put the pepper back with the salt.
The goatee rejected the face. Some guys can look like Sean Connery with a beard and or a goatee, others look like the back side of an old grey donkey. Me, the latter, didn't last long.
