Just like to introduce myself to the forum. Steve from the UK. Have visited the Philippines many, many times and am now married to a Filipina. We have a house in Cavite province about one and a half to two hours from Manila, and now have a place in Bayawan (about 2 hours from Dumaguete) which is the hometown of the mrs. At present we are both in London, UK, as we both work there, but future plans (God willing) are to live in the Philippines...

I am not from Bayawan myself, but I personally believe that Bayawan has more to offer than Dumaguete. And their community programs are great, from solid waste management to Jatropha curcas. And Bayawan City has the most detailed official website so far. Keep it up, Bayawan! Josephen
