    This is my first post but I have been lurking on the forum for a while. It sounds like you have a great group. I will be moving to Dumaguete in the first part of '08 and look forward to meeting all of you.
    I'm originally from New York but am presently located in Arkansas. I have been married to a Filipina for close to 25 years and lived in Cebu from 1979 to 1994. I was back for visits in '95, '99, and 2002 but i am retireing now and hope to make Dumaguete my permanent home.

    It's nice knowing that more expats choose Dumaguete as their place for retirement, as we are amongst planning to retire soon. We found Dumaguete City as a little nice urban community and it has almost everything we need when we are going to retire. For us, it's the right choice and do hope it will be the perfect place for you and your wife to stay for good.

    Welcome Kenny from Arkansas (soon Dumaguete).
    It's amazing how many people are joining our forum during the last few months.
    Rhoody, this is making our forum an increasingly strong tool to get improvements done where ever felt needed by us.
    Soon all restaurants, dentists, barbers, diving shops, koraoke (:confused: ) establishments, nightclubs (:D ), attorneys, lawyers and tricycle drivers (:p ) will follow our postings and improve their services :D

    Good you're out from lurking ,welcome to the forum kenny.


    I agree jellyfish.To one aspect of this intercative site as a tool like virtual ears , eyes and mouthpiece and what have you for Dumaguete,some might not agree though. But they can just look in what people here are talking about good and not ,including the clamour for some change and improvements for the better.
