I am a retired Computer Systems Engineer from the State of Wisconsin While dating my wife back in early 2006 I happened on an article on the net that talked about the great little city of Dumaguete in the Phils. We both agreed that on my next trip we would visit the City of Gentle People Well!!!! we were hooked. We visited here for 2 weeks and actually rented a home. It was here in Dumaguete we were married and it is here that we intend to spend our life. We both love the people and the quiet lifestyle. Not to mention the great food and people. So I have joined this forum and hope to post many more insights into life here from a foreigner's perspective. Thanks all, Bob
