Glad to find this site.The site offers a lot of information about Dumaguete, the place my husband and I will retire.Though we are still in our early 40's we decided to retire early secularly.We want to spend half of our lives spending time with family and enjoy life a bit.We already built a house in San Jose(beach front).We had a house warming last Jan and was attended by close friends,family and government officials including the Deputy Director of NBI.Anyway,if I have found this site early I could have invited you all too.We are back here in the states, california to be specific, to finish some stuffs here and will be in the philippines for good.Hope to meet you all.

We can't wait to settle down in Dumaguete.We just love the city and the sorrounding towns.It is peaceful and the people are nice and hospitable.Though there are some post that are very negative, it did not bother us a bit. Too much exaggeration I guess. As long one keeps a low profile and friendly to the locals, I guess we'll be ok.
