    Hi to everybody ! My name is Lanzo

    I visited Dumaguete nearly 30 (thirty) years ago when I got married with my wife (and still am) , I was based in Manila then. My wife is from the general area. My first impression of Dumaguete was absolutely positive, of course "then" it was less polluted, less traffic, less restaurants et cetera - still basically everything is the same: Joe's chicken, Opsima sporting goods store, Lee Plaza, the market and the hardware stores near it, are still there.

    I'm originally from continental europe, but I,ve been living mostly in Australia and USA. I won't elaborate, as identity theft IS a reality, there are Nigerians in Duma - doing what ? - Like the Nigerians in B.kok...? I.E. that post of
    the "amissionary" that wanted to "donate" a pit bull... Ye, sure. On the negative:The Ceres bus depo (and general area) is a disgrace - the smell of urine can be felt from afar. The burning of rubbish (plastic) generates dioxin... and that will contribute to population control, lowering the expectancy of life of Dumaguetenos who've been breathing the toxic fumes since infancy, the improvised rubbish dumps all over the place, the bloody plastic bags which are compulsory and will stay in the ground for hundred of years,poisoning the ground, unless burned, so they will poison the air ! I am not a "green freak" But, Holy Toledo !

    Yes, those were the "halcyon days" of Dumaguete. Now it's all gone to ****.

    Hi Lanzo, welcome.. after 30 years you came back and complaine about Dumaguete.. I think it would be better for you to call B.P. and complain about the oil they dump in our ocean, and will eventually kill everything that moves in this planet Earth. Rather than bitching abot urine smell, or improviced rubbish dump, etc,etc.

    Ahw man there are some Nigerians here doing school and other things that do'nt entail what you may think. My dad is now american but came to USA as Nigerian is with My american mother hard working.I used to be dual american /nigerian citizen but lost Nigerian for joining US ARMY. Oh well there are nigerian scam artist and my dad had to get the FBI to get one off of his tail years ago. I'm concerned about the billion dollar american white male investors runing off with billions more than Nigerians ever did.George bush has all nations aching from his legacy even nigeria is aching form americas wrecking of world economy and faith..

    How can a man after 30 years. come back to Dumaguete where he met his wife and only complain about the smell of the cock pit? There are a lot of good places to go that don't stink
