⌛ Kawasaki

Details about fuel consumption, price of spare parts, weight, measures and so on are easily to get on the internet. I can understand not everybody is full of happiness when someone is asking for a test ride. But a test ride is the final and only step after which to decide to buy yes or no a specific bike.

 

I had a '75 Kaw triple...it wasn't fast enough so I sent the cylinders off to Denco for their 120hp package

LOL...so how did you manage to keep the engine in the frame? I had the stock engine and I had to have the motor mounts welded twice.....and 120hp..LOL....you must have been sitting on the front wheel every time you blipped it. I battled to keep it on the ground.....Outstanding machine...I think I'll shop around for one...suspect chances are zero in Oz.

Had the second one sold in California...my best friend at the time was Charles Wheat..alias Chuck Wheat. No biggie - he got the first...His dad was a well known Kawasaki racer and dealer named C.H. Wheat (alias Buck Wheat). So I got the second. Although Buck Wheat did get one as a freebie. I actually taught my father how to ride mine (his first motorcycle experience - LOL....like handling a cobra for the first time) to keep it going while I was stationed overseas for a 18 months. He did a good job of it, didn't kill himself or the bike. I eventually sold it a few years later to a dumb gonad who wrecked it within months...
