Oh my goodness!! Apparently there is a convention going on in Dumaguete (why is there always a convention in Dumaguete when we come there?), and there are absolutely no hotels available!! We were needing a room for 2 nights after our arrival, until our stuff arrives by ship.....looks like we will be sleeping on air mattresses in a hot townhouse for a couple of nights.......aaaaccckkkkk!!!
Try the Coco Grande on Hibberd Avenue. Even at the height of the 2009 Festival in November I was able to get a superb room there. Worth a try. Roger
"and there are absolutely no hotels available!!" ???????? Reedee...... and that I absolutely don't believe. If THAT is true I offer you for 2 persons a free stay for 2 nights on our marvolous beach with perfect view on Apo Island and many friendly crabs around you to keep you confort. It will take some effort but there are ALWAYS somewhere rooms available, but maybe you have to go to resorts a bit out of the city limits. Good luck with the search.
I stand corrected...... Okay, I stand corrected.....I was being picky...price was a consideration and with my husband unable to easily climb stairs, a hotel with elevator was preferable....we found an inexpensive hotel with a room, and we will get him up the stairs. We will be staying at Casa Demonteverde. You won that one, Jellyfish (and I was really hoping we couldn't find one!!) :D:D
i have nothing to contribute here - but would just love to say it is always nice to read posts from jellyfish and from reedee. you two always give me giggles and grins...esp. that last one from reedee's post. (thank you for adding more GRINS today).
Thanks!! :D:D:D:D Josephen. You're welcome. Glad you found already something out of nothing Reedee I will order the crabs to go home again.
