    I don't mind someone eating open mouth (although I am truing to teach my boy not to eat that way) or a person wearing a hat while eating, but someone smoking at my table while I am still eating ruins my meal at that point.

    I don't think IMHO that it's a matter of culture, more like table manners that have yet to be taught and all Culture's contain persons of such habit.

    I don't mind eating open mouthed for a Filipino alltough it galls me.
    What really get me is a foreigner, on my table or where ever, eats with his hat /cap on his head.
    I'm brought up in a time that when you enter a house or eat (even outdoors) , you take off whatever covers your head. . Respect, respect, respect!! is what's lacking sorely nowaday's!
