Killing some time so where have you been that you liked? Me - Paris, Chester England, train up the Rhine, Cologne Cathedral, Ardenne, Rome, Salzburg, Mt. Fuji, Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi, Bali, Sydney, Singapore, Victoria BC, Hawaii, Seattle, San Francisco, Napa Valley, San Diego, Vietnam Wall. Places I wish I could have seen - Ireland, Switzerland, Barcelona, Capetown, (old) Beirut, Barossa Valley and Margaret River, Bordeaux (yes I enjoy wine). I I wasn’t really much of a tourist. Work took me around and a few vacations. I could have done more and seen more (too many bars). Still, no regrets.
Scotland, wales, Canary Islands, Spain, Dominican Republic, US Florida, greece, Neverlands, France, Singapore, Hong kong and Philippines LOL
Almost all European countries both in the West and behind the former iron curtain. The Scandinavian countries however not included never been there. So outside Europe, Africa I visited The Gambia, Senegal, Kenya. The American continent, Canada, USA (only Montana when in Canada). The Caribbean, The Netherland Antilles, Barbados, Trinidad, St. George (when serving as a marine in that area). South America, Brazil and Argentine. Australia, western town Perth and surrounding like Rottnest island. S.E. Asia, Indonesia, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Birma as a backpacker while still working. Since living in the PH went to Hong Kong (stop counting how many times), South Corea, Taiwan and Japan. Still on my bucket list, Iceland, Scotland, Far Oer and Shetland islands, New Zealand, Fiji, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay after Corona-Covid 19 has come to an end. Whether I can complete is another question.
Distilling it down to the places that I've liked most - the North West coast of Scotland, North of Gairloch - stunning (when not raining!); a few Umbrian (Italy) hilltop towns - Perugia, Orvieto etc (the country will need the tourism boost after this lot); Ayutthaya (Thailand), Edinburgh, York, Bangkok (for the sheer adrenaline rush it gives you), some backwater towns in central Netherlands, Islay (Scottish island - great whiskey, great motorbiking); most memorable of all - Guillin and Yangshuo in Guanxi Province, China (vowed to go back, but not yet fulfilled).
Where to begin?? The quaint little town of Gouda where I was born, Bangkok, Chang Mai and Hua Hin in Thailand, Djokjakarta and Bali in Indonesia, Siem Reap in Cambodia, Salalah in Oman, Aqaba in Jordan, Manama in Bahrain, Makati, La Union, Boracay and Bacong in The Philippines, San Francisco in the US, London, Liverpool and Felixstowe in the UK to name a few.....
Cyprus (Med Sea most beautiful I have ever seen), Jamaica (you can feel the vibe of the island upon arrival), Thailand (best pineapple in the world, seen stuff there I have not seen anyplace else in the world!), Antarctica (like being on the moon), New Zealand (friendly people, great beer!!!), Zambia, Africa (once you go on a safari you will never visit a zoo again), Japan (the food, the culture), Nepal (mystical)! Just to name a few....
Barbados, Canary Islands, Cyprus (as a peacekeeper under UN), Paris, England also Bath-Spa, Amsterdam were my faves. Other than that my home country of Canada has the trans-Canada highway from coast to coast, Still the most awesome time I ever had was driving Canada from coast to coast and back during mid-summer (1980's) over the coarse of 45 days on my Kawasaki A1-Sport 1300cc. Bars, hotels and no holds barred on fun in all forms.
I have been to many places and enjoyed my time everywhere with one exception. Turkey, but even that Country had a few nice historical places to see, but overall, terrible place.
I have liked most placed I visited, London, Liverpool, Brighton, Berlin, Paris, Nice, Monaco, Barcelona, Sevilla, Malaga, Gibraltar small piece of Uk in Spain, more British than the UK itself, In Portugal, Algarve coast, Lissabon, Porto, In Italy, Rome, Milano, Verona, I really like Croatia special Split and Dubrovnik and are around these cities, Greece so many islands Rhodos among my favorites. SEA, Bangkok for sure my favorite city in SEA, Chang Mai, Saigon, Phnom Penh, Singapore, and The Philippines. The places that have made the most impact on me are places where I did not expect anything and were pleasantly surprised like Verona in Italy, Phnom Penh in Cambodia, and some mountains areas in both Croatia and Portugal
