    EXACTLY!! It is way sad that often a majority of population are simply content with what they have or given & would rather wait for others to make changes. The sad result of that is......things will stay pathetically the same without any progress:(

    things aren't going to change....not anytime soon.

    In a culture where any criticism are often not tolerated, it's not difficult to see why there's general lack of motivation for improvements/changes.

    a little respect

    I treat everyone with respect they don't need to earn it. I need to earn theirs. This is the way I was brought up as a child and as an adult I still conduct myself in this manner. Expats in general are far bigger than their counter parts. Really how much damage can they do to you? I mean running into you is like hitting a wall, I find it humorous, kind of like running into an unmovable object or a bee that keeps bouncing off the wall. I guess it is just in what prospective you choose to look at it. :D
