Height restrictions around airports extend mainly around the runway approaches. The Dumaguete airport runway runs almost exactly east-west. The easterly approach is over water. The only height restriction needed is to its west.

That leaves many possible sites for development to the north or south.

Took some pics just this afternoon. I really think November will do. I actually saw that the hallways / bridgeways (however you call that inside a mall) is already done including the railings.. Very very spacious! You can actually just SEE INSIDE the mall through the entrance the one fronting Teletech.

Very reliable source said that this is true, they purchased around 7 hectares (larger than the current Robinsons lot which is 6 hectares). In fact he said that SM's business here in Dumaguete is already in advanced stages, they might actually soon start construction. Another source said they are starting to hire for personnel.

    Don,
Claytown is on North road indeed between Capitol and Provincial hospital.
If you see bricks by the thousands at both sides of the road, you are in claytown because clay is the material to make the bricks, and many other things made of clay.

I too hope that those acacia trees be retained but perhaps they have to cut some of those...I just hope the mall will be environment friendly, beautiful with nice landscaping and plenty of trees around.
