If you are looking for brands like VESPA and LAMBRETTA, the once everybody is driving in southern Europe and South America I have no advice for you. Sorry!
But they are very nice to drive. I owned a Vespa when I lived in Italy and I really liked the ride, and all the beautiful girls on Scooters.

Yup! Have circulation problem in my left leg, so I don't need to have sudden shifts of weight that leg has to handle. Why bikes built for Filipinos are so tall I'll never know. They don't need to go faster, which is what a taller bike with taller wheels does for you. They also kill many people here because of brainless driving habits.

 

Aren't electrics very expensive? I know you can get one here. How reliable and maintenance free are they?

evrrrdy, there are some in Dgte, there is a dealer and I just can not remember who or where. Ronv and I shared a few posts on this very subject.
Good old Google the makers and I am sure they will have a list of suppliers in negros.

I have a gas scooter for sale whenever I get back there. (In storage since I am not in Dmgte at present.) There is a post buried in the Classified section for it, "Swave 125 for sale".

 

You are probably suited for a Honda Beat, Suzuki Skyrider, or Yamaha Mio Soul / Fino due to the floorboards instead of pegs. I am partial to the Mio Fino.. They have them at Motortrade by the Capitol and a few other Yamaha dealers.
