New place in town for smoked pork and beef... Smoke House on the south road across the street from U Wash and on the same side as the Patron station about half a click south of Gie Gie"s. I have been twice and purchased smoked belly (bacon) and pork and beef sausage and now smoked beef (from Australia) all were very good and prices seem reasonable.
Place your own table on the side walk of the boulevard and put the meat you like on the desk. For sure it will be smoked meat after some hours. Not sure the taste of this smoked meat can beat the taste in the afore mentioned shop.
Bacon about $6 US per pound, well, that’s about what we paid for premium thick cut bacon in a pork producing state (NC). But there MAY be an advantage here; perhaps no cancer causing nitrites or sulfites? That would make the price worthwhile if it were the case. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In the USA, the best tasting nitrite sulfite combo seasoning is in Oscar Mayer with Gwaltney a close second. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Been there many time and i can only recommend it! The owner is Polish and very friendly and his products are actually very good and not so pricey. The smoke ham and his sausages are my favorite.
