    There are a couple of truths about freedom. They go something like this:

    If you love something set it free.
    If it comes back it's yours.
    If it doesn't, it never was.
    OR
    If you love something set it free
    If it comes back it's yours.
    If it doesn't, hunt it down and kill it.

    One truth is more socially acceptable than the other.
    Seriously though. It's hard to have a rational discussion now days. Everyone has their own version of the "truth".
