Far as beach there are 2 options really which is Santa Monica and Jel Oriente. Jel Oriente takes better care of their pool but the beach access is a pain and rooms are so so. Santa Monica has a nice easy access beach and nice rooms but only cleans its pool once a year which last I saw was filthy 1-2 months ago. Both places are a bit of a walk to the main road which at the main road can easily find a trike. Main road about a 7-10 min walk and hard finding trikes at the resort.

If don't matter as far as being at the beach a few good hotels intown. I've stayed at Hotel Nicanor and like it but have also heard good things about Hotel Palwa.
