    There were reports of a checkpoint in Quezon city, that was being operated by criminals. Not police criminals, just your regular run of the mill criminals were stopping cars, and ripping people off.

    I do not know if there is truth to the fact that "check or choke points" according to drivers without any license would involve cash payment as settlement.

    Yes, they are back, but hiding a bit this time...

    My friend informs me they will accept U.S. Dollars in addition to pesos for pay-off. Convenient...I guess they are not concerned about dollar depreciation! ;-)
