Which dialect?

Is Tagalog or Cebauna spoken in Dumaguete?

I thought visayan was cebauno, or does that include ilonggo? are they mixed?

This is my Opinin and observation Traveling through the Islands of Visayas and how they define the Dialect.. and a bit of my own confusion..

Visayan is like an English term for BISAYA ryt? : )

Cebuano has differences depending on the place where you are..
Cebuano from SUGBO or Cebu has a lot of expressions, terms and Pronunciation different from the People from Negros Oriental Island..

Ilonngo is very Diffrerent from Cebuano, the right term for the dialect is HILIGAYNON

Hiligaynon? Ilonngo is defined as people from Negros Occidental, but in the Negros Borders of Oriental and Occidental Hiligaynon and Bisaya people are mixed up..

Ilonggo is the male person, Ilongga female.. how about cebuano? is it a male bisaya coz when you see a female bisaya u would pertain her as a cebuana ryt?

So therefore i conclude but not 100% sure BISAYA is the Dialect ryt?

In Visayas we also have another dialect called Antiqueño from Antique somewhere in Mindoro, Waray in Leyte but still some of them can speak and understand BISAYA..
Still part of Visayas or the Visayan Region..

It is nice to hear foreigners speak fluently in BISAYA : )

 

Magtoon pa ko Bisaya, pero gamay sa mahimo. (I'm still studying Bisaya, but as little as possible)

Actually since Tagalog is taught nationally, it is understood and can be spoken in Dumaguete.

 

Cebuano is part of Visayan, just like Ilonggo, Waray, etc.

I would classify the dialect spoken in Dumaguete Visayan, though, rather than Cebuano since Dumaguete is not Cebu :D:D.
