    As I plan to spend a few weeks in DGTE,is there a place to stay where I can connect to WIFI with my laptop?
    It's many years since my last visit and then there were no PCs or knowledge of them. Cheers....Mrbee

    I believe the Hotel Palwa has WIFI.

    Hotel Palwa has free WIFI in most rooms and the Restaurant.
    Tell them you have the Information from Dumaguetinfo

    also try Grand Pensionne Plaza, i went there frequently last january, you only have to request the staff to switch it on since i think they dont charge for their wifi.

    Stayed at the Palwa recently. Wifi only on the second floor...and pretty weak there (signal coming and going - sometimes fading out completely)....None on the third. Fine in the lobby/restaurant though...

    Nice place though...

    dumaguete city is not a hotzone yet? our town just recently lunched its LBN(local broadband network) powered by wimax....its quite good though....by the first quarter of 2009 the town is a real hotzone including the mountain barangays and internet is free for the people...this project is intended to aliviate the tax collection, in which the towns people could pay taxes at thier respective barangays...and doesnt have to line up at the municipal hall...this project is the first in the whole philippine archephelago.

    signal is quite good as long as our barangay is concerned...try proposing it thier...
