    Wow, did not expect to make such a stir in the calm water. And the trouble is I am a Frisian too who is in fact very proud of his unique own language. But anyway. My name is Eeuwe Boerma (Frisian names, i'm afraid) and look forward to join the "gentle" people on Dumaguete and love to lift a pint someday..........

    Yes, Friesland is a province of the Netherlands with their own unique language and worldwide known for the Frysian cattle and famous Frysian horses .........

    Eeuwe, welcome on the forum.
    For me Friesland is just a province of the Netherlands, only they use a strange :smile: :wink: language I still do not understand much better than I do understand Visaya.
    Your "strange" name is quite comon in the province of your birth and to me likely not used as nickname.
