What are you looking to spend per night? Do you need hot water/aircon/ref/tv?

Nicanor has signs out front about a 550 pesos special. Might be worth giving them a call direct to ask about it. Probably one of their rooms with no windows. Still a good value if they give you that price.

Edit. For curiosity I searched on Trip advisor about that 550 rate and someone had commented:

    Oh well.

Edit 2: Personally, I like the presidential suite at the Asia Novotel for about 1200 for 24 hours. They have basement parking and they are right in the heart of town. There are some pics on their facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.147067452071561.26048.147050102073296&type=3

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I am looking for a one night stop over before heading to my destination. Aircon and TV will do. Hot water is not necessary. Regards.

Vintage Inn should suite your needs. Cheap, clean (enough), aircon, TV, hot water. I've stayed there one night. Not a place I would stay long term but good enough for a couple nights.

    Grand Pension Plaza.

I have had some good reports from friends who stayed there in April, I have put a link on which you may find useful as it has other hotels on the link also.
