    Underwater Dive Pictures

Great pictures, the Marine is in US right now, and one of the things he wants to bring back is a decent dive camera  So I am looking forward to play around with that as well.

I bought an Olympus 720SW which is supposed to be water proof down to 10 feet / 3 meters, my first Olympus 720 died during a snorkeling trip in Siquijor and I am now on my second camera of the same type.

A friend of mine bought the same waterproof camera and had the same problem, he went snorkeling in Apo and got to take one picture before the camera died - NOTE TO SELF: never again buy an Olympus Camera.

HI, the pics were taken with a cheap Sony P9 no extras like external strobe... its most of the time the photographer not the object who makes the difference. The seahorse took me around 10 minutes to make it with a nice background, (the ocean, the grass and the sand) to have a good contrast. Even with a digital cam i took only 2 shots of the seahorse...

Yes, that was really disappointing. I had bought the cam specifically for this trip and that particular model solely for the purpose of shots while snorkeling. Luckily I had my old cam for shots for the rest of my trip....just no underwater shots. :(

It is under warranty, so I will see what I can do about that. Since I will still have the cam, hopefully able to repair, I may need to buy the underwater casing for it. Funny how Olympus makes an underwater case for a cam that is supposed to be waterproof. The case is supposed to allow it to go deeper.

    :D :D
Reminds me of my Open Water Course 15 years ago in Australia. After passing all the tests, we also got beer in a snorkel!

    I am ugly or what?

Time for another great shot taken at a coastal dive around the area here. Taken with an old Sony P9, and no external strobe...
