    Hello Chrissar and Welcome:

We are an American family moving to Dumaguete in about 2.5 years and my daughter will go to college at Silliman.

We "purchased - land leased" oceanfront from a builder, who is also going to do our house. We struck a fabulous deal, and am extremely pleased with his layout, design, and price. Even though he is in Dumaguete, he can also build in Cebu.

If you will email me directly at: docgary@charter.net I will give you his contact information.

    All the best

thank you so much guys for the warm welcome. we are excited to move to dumaguete in the near future but also anxious as we only have a little knowledge about this city. but, what we knew is that we will be building a house of our dreams with a magnificient view. we hardly knew anybody but so glad to be members of this site/forum, as we meet new people and hopefully become good friends....cheers everyone.

Hi Chrissar, thanks for prompt reply. So glad to know you will be residing in
Sibulan in the near future. The owner of the grotto with the 35 foot Virgin Mary is my cousin. Her name is Mrs Josephine Bejar Ng. She is now a widow.
Last September we visited her, toured around her property (where the grotto of Mother Mary) up the hill and then had dinner with her at her beach house not far from the other property. This year we may go back to see her. My congratulations on your newly acquired property with astonishing view.

TIMOGENE LAS PINAS is somewhat the broker of this massive lot near where MRS NG is residing. You must know him as he is Mrs. Ng's nephew. It happens that Timo's wife is my sis-in-law's sister. They're the only people we know in Dumaguete. Small world, isn't it? It's nice knowing you Swany.....

Chrissar: I knew the las Pinas in Dumaguete, as they are related to our clan.
But I have never met Timogene in person. Mrs. Ng's grandma and mine were sisters. Yes, it's a small world, I agree. Nice knowing you too, Chrissar.

Wow it really is a small world. Auntie Jo is my dad's batchmate at Silliman and when we're in Dumaguete we go to her beach house all the time to eat and sometimes go to her place up in Sibulan. I really love their batch because they have so much fun, and they are also the most prominent and successful Silliman batch today, with a mayor, attorney, an Ambassador (my dad), Uncle Neloy of McNeloy's and so many more that are all over the world. I love how they all fly into town from everywhere to be at their reunions. It is so lovely and refreshing to see their loyalty and friendship throughout the decades. I wish my high school batch were as close and as successful!
