I'm originally from Valencia graduated at Silliman U,BSEE'79 immigrated to Vancouver, Canada- 1981.Even though how far I go and how long Im away- never would I forget my Dear country and Dumaguete in particular.

 

Welcome! My wife is originally from Valencia, and she has several Valenciano friends living in the Vancouver area. A beautiful city. We visit there quite often.

 

Nice to have a "Kababayan" close to home. What is the name of your wife -coz I did my High School in San Pedro Academy in Valencia. As far as I know there are only few valencianon in vancouver area. Gene

I'm very familiar with San Pedro Academy! I had several nieces/ nephews in-laws who attended. Whenever we visited, they would ask for help with their math homework. Good school, they don't mess around with education.

My wife's maiden name is Cabebe. The friends which she visits in Burnaby are Dante and Mapili. They just moved up there from Calgary.

Any name ring a bell??

 

I'm not familiar with the Cabebe Family but Aunts(Bando Marino) live in Poblacion Valencia .
one block from the house of the Mayor-Rodulfo Gonzales .I was in San Pedro Academy Between 1970-1974 and immigrated to Canada on May 11, 1981.
