Don't know of any on Negros...Cebu has a couple...not cheap though...we've got much better rates here in Oz..

Yeah, unfortunately a rise in crime often accompanies an influx of people, but Dumaguete should learn how to adapt in due time....and then crime should hopefully start to decline again.

Dumaguete is certainly changing from what I understand. Kind of anxious to get back and see it again after seeing photos of one construction project after another. I hope their airport upgrade involves a flight from Cebu to Dumaguete. ...just as another option for travel between the two. May just not be very economical, though, with land and sea trips going back forth multiple times per day.

 

William2bai, wala tawoy gubot sa dumaguete oy. Don't be afraid to come home. We visited the city last year for three weeks, and boy it is just beautiful and peaceful! "Gubot" is a serious word to use. Dumaguete is not like Manila or cebu where there's killing almost everyday. In fact Pres. Arroyo made an announcement when she hosted the opening of the new convention center for the Rondalla International Festival, that Dumaguete is the most peaceful city in the entire country. It's true there are snatchers but you have to be cautious with your surrounding, secure your purses, wallets and cellphones, and don't talk while walking they'll snatch it from your grip.
