⌛ Balut

I have never gotten around to actually eat a balut, but I have seen many others do it and some swear by them for various reasons.

I just get sick when I see this little embryo I am supposed to eat.

Maybe a case of Red Horse first

 

I never use to eat Balut,neither my family does eat that thingy.
But met this brit guy who eats it with no hesitation
(now my hubby,though not because of his utter bravery of eating balut ,lols:D )
Some said it’s approdesiac ,perhaps just something to entice people.
I can’t see any connection to it. But I can eat balut now ,just eat it in the dark with a beer or rum.One thing, never eat it in shining bright light,the dimmer the better ,lols otherwise it may come out the same end.

 

I can hardly believe that BOILING a nearly hatched chicken to dead can be called civilized ,but then again I will have so many response that will let me know it is a " culture " thing . O well, in some countries abortion is also becoming a part of their culture so...Makes that it a reason to simply accept ? Down the drain goes my way of culture I supose . Anyway the Afrodisiac reasons for eating all this is way overrated and very much untrue . I can give you a list of true afrodisiac stuff it needed.....

 

That's really the sad savage part of balut,but then it probably wont take long to kill the fetus with the boling heat.It's hard to think many of us enjoying steaks and all sorts of meat dishes ,after all these are animals
sacrificed to answer our palates .I don't like to see animals butchered ,but then i love to eat meat.


...otherwise we all have to be vegetarians, I am not ready for it yet.

 

This thing about approdosiac rumours is only pure hearsay.Yet some local folks will vouch for it. I do completely disagree ,proof is we haven't come up to doing it like rabbits .

 

I've been known to eat it on occasion.

Best to eat in the dark and be drunk. That is how I did it the first time. At a later time when I tried it again it was not under those conditions. I almost didn't do it, but I had already broke it open and had to finish the mission. :D

Dane, I figured you didn't like the looks of it, as with most foreigners. One time my girlfriend was going to eat some and being her usual shy self she wanted to eat outside. I asked her to wait a little and eat it at the table with us in front of you and your friend. hehe. Aren't I a b@st@rd. :D

Being a Vegitarian isn,t all that bad. It is like becoming religious. The first few moments are the hardest .But lateron you feel much better. I am a vegitarian and also do not take eggs or honey. Yet milk is the only thing I do take. I have 33 years Diabetes type 1 now and yet then doctor claims I have never been healthier since I started out with cuttng meats from my diet . It is a personal decission,each for his or her own to be made The one day old chicks are all male sexed and have no "commercial "value . In the USA and EU they are sold als frozen food for the cat. They are " utinized " in a " humane way " by means of being put in a gas chamber, to choke to dead.
Correct me if I am wrong , but did Hitler not do the same with Jews , gays and Gypsy people ? So WHAT is so HUMANE about it...Food for second thoughts........
For Wak-Wak GREAT !!! I love it!! lets post it along the Rizal Blvd ! Funny as it is ( or better serious) the Chocolate will release endorfine (hormone) in the brain that will make you feel better and is also released normaly while having sex improving your libido.Not to forget the Serotonine , which is a Neuro transmitter and responsable for a " happy feeling "That together with the other contents like cafeine ,theobromine and fenylethylamine my dear friends, is a true Afrodisiac ,indeed .

 

I AGREE, I ATE 10 BALUTS THE OTHER NIGHT AND ONLY 9 WORKED FOR ME IN THE BED ROOM:D :p :D

 

Balut is good. But I'm like Pickled Newt, its best eaten in dim lighting
