⌛ Brand new member

Hello everyone! I am a new member of this forum. I was looking for a property in Dumaguete or around Negros Oriental when I discovered this forum. Any advises I can receive from everyone would be nice.

By the way, I am currently living in Cleveland, Ohio but I was originally from Sagay City, Negros Occidental. My husband and I is planning to retire in the Philippines in about five years. I will be visiting the Negros Oriental next year to explore my option in buying a property for our retirement.

Thanks earlmj! I didn't think I would get this response quickly. I have been reading some of the fabulous feedback of Dumaguete and I can't wait to see the place and hopefully meet all of you!

From what I have read about Dumaguete/Negros Oriental, the province have more to offer than Bacolod City. I am sure that my husband and I will enjoy our retirement.

leigh14, we just purchased a lot in Sibulan owned by Mrs. Josephine Ng, owner of the 35ft Virgin Mary Grotto just along the National Highway. It's a subdivision with access roads, overlooking the southern island of Cebu. One balikbayan have just bought her plot adjacent to ours. Who knows we will be good neighbours in the future.

 

Thank you so much for the great welcome! I will have to check out Dumaguete next year since my entire vacation for this year will be spent in Australia. But I sure will keep everyone's advise.
