Cheskaraul, The SunStar said what..he was at El Camino or something, then left, and they found him later with a beer bottle next to his body.

The SS story more or less hinted that someone probably had been waiting for him to leave El Camino after he umm got into a situation on the blvd with someone?

Point is, guns are in Dgte, and you can be a victim.

Why not tell us the rest of the story? I'd like to hear what he did that warranted his being murdered..

PhilT is right. More outsiders, more trouble is brought in. Alot of the students in the city now are not local dumaguetenos and there are some bad seeds.

Yes he was at El Cams.

Don't believe everything you read in the papers. They've already been charged with libel a couple of times.

Yes guns are in Dgte. Yes you can be a victim. But I believe that as long as you mind your own business no one will pick on you.

With respect to his family I would have to pass on telling the story.

Most of the news of murders in dgte were related to drug problems existing in the city, which seem to take its toll these days. This illegal drugs issue has since been a problem but the Dgte govt failed to take notice and address the growing problem from its infancy to the present. The manhunt were only fucosed on the small fish who lived their lives on a daily basis of survival ,have nothing to defend themsleves. But the big ones were spared . I never heard of any rich intentity in Dumaguete who had been caught connected with drugs .But rumours spread quickly like wild fire pointing specific personalities in dgte thought to be involve in multi million drug business .Well, don't you think it's all again in the name of corruption where all these problems rise from.Until now the city /provincial government haven't done much to improve police capabilities, increase police numbers and strategies to directly hit the problem. To be honest most of them are quite good in making speeches ,all the yak yak yaks ...empty promises and all the b****cks!

quite right yabs. we've always had the universities. now however, there are more out of town students residing in the city. standards are somewhat lax as compared to before.
