Needless to say , but we also fell in love and will move over during April. We found a house in Zamboanguita. Valancia is much cheaper I even did see some nice , though small ones at 5.000 Peso a month. I have attached a picture of that house here. After the end of April I will be able to help new comming people to find them a house . I have great contacts but did not use the regular brokers.. Costly and they have the intention to raise the price according to the tone of your skin..... One house I have seen went from 20T to 30T the SAME day just becoz the second broker thought I was a rich Americano...
I could even get in Sibulan a small bungalow with private beach , three rooms nothing fancy , but for a 10T per month JUST GREAT !!

    Welcome Dan

Kindly do consider that internet connections in Valencia( area) next to impossible seems. Have tried it myselves b4 negotiating purchase of house.
It's a real nice place, a bit cooler as Dmgte, but has its limitations. Wish you luck !!

Danno..what are you doing up in AK? Next to the Philippines, and Oz, Alaska would be my favourite place. Particularly the interior...Fairbanks, North Pole, Denali, etc...ultimate plan for us is spending much of the year in Philippines and the rest between AK and Oz...think I might skip the Fairbanks winter though, except one time to check out the Northern Lights. Tried November once many years ago...and it was definitely brisk..

Are you sure about it Decon phils? How come me and my old school chum living in Valencia chat sometimes on the net ,mainly about gossips in town .One time she showed me her baby girl . Connection seem good enough.
What you said sounds very odd for Valencia which is only about 15-20 minutes from Dumaguete and also part of the Metro dumaguete ,to have nil internet connection in the area . While Bais and down to Manjuyod which is about 60 km away from dumaguete can access the internet.

There are a couple of companies in the city offering wireless broadband connection. This means you can have internet connection of speeds not lesser than 128 kBps anywhere in the metro.

You may refer to their site for more info.
    SMART

    IT-Outlook

    Cheers

Sorry for not visiting all the residential houses in Valencia ! Ofcourse, it's very well possible that (part of) Valencia can have internet connection. However, during my search for a house there, I did enquire with Smart , IT Outlook and Globe......... got "" IMPOSSIBLE"" for an answer. Just hope others can do better...
    Regards
