    Hello!

    I have been browsing at this site for some time now and yesterday finally made it to register.

    It is nice to read and see posted threads from 'acquaintances' from other forums.

    Also amazing that people from outside the Philippines (and outside the Province) prefer to settle in- and around Dumaguete City.

    Regards!

    Earlmj, basing on your comments, I think to have a property in Sibulan is a good choice for us. Can't wait. :wink:

    Welcome on board Josephen.

    What a warm welcome! Thanks, thanks, thanks.

    @earlmj:
    To be honest, it is better for me financially here in the Netherlands than in the Philippines. I am married to a Dutchman who is planning to live permanent in Sibulan (!). So the Dutchman will be a permanent resident of PH, while I, the Filipina will be a permanent resident here in NL. With the increasing demands of the Philippine household, I am much better here in the Netherlands than in the Philippines.

    And when circumstances will not allow my husband anymore to enjoy in the Philippines, he can always come to NL as his second home.

    @chrissar:

    I am from Sibulan myself but personally I think the area is better in terms of accessibility to schools, hospitals, and of course the airport. I think Sibulan area is better in terms of agricultural purposes.

    Sibulan, though, has no impressive beaches. The other side of Dumaguete to the South (Dauin, Zamobanguita, etc) has nice beaches. If you stay at one beach, there is more to look further along the beach. By Sibulan it is almost like a line; no further pleasure to the eye.

    The very reason why we bought the land in Sibulan because of it's fascinating view, that's beyond our dreams, it's uphill overlooking the sea and the southern island of Cebu. Easy access to almost everything is a big bonus. Although, the beach is not really that impressive, having a swimming pool in our house plan is an alternative.
