⌛ Day Trip Part 2a - Zoo Paradise of the World

Next stop…. Zoo Paradise of the World. Not long ago there was a post on this forum regarding their practices, so at the time I hesitated to post. I am just posting for those interested and in no way promoting them or have an opinion regarding that topic. Please keep those debates out of these day trip threads.

In general, I have heard how bad zoos in PI can be. The Manila Zoo comes to mind. I was expecting a sad looking zoo. It was actually decent from a tourist perspective and hardly any other visitors at the time, if any. The only other zoo I recall going to previously was in Palawan, so my experience with zoos in PI is limited.

Here is something interesting I saw on the drive there. I was driving which made it a tough shot to get. I would have liked to zoom out more, but had to avoid getting the van in the shot and extend my arm enough from the driver’s side to do so. Why would someone needs so many huge satellite dishes in their yard?

 

As we are driving further out in the Zambo area there are more views like this.

 

I keep driving and no sign of a zoo yet. I am starting to wonder if we have gone too far. We stop and ask and they tell us to keep going. We eventually find it.

Here is the sign to look for.

 

The parking is tight. I am not even sure if this is the parking area, but that is what I saw when I arrived so I used it.

PS- I just noticed the bottom sign as I was composing this report. Did I park in the driveway?? It was at the side of the road.
