My name is Berlie and I own 2 V-Hire Vans that service Dumaguete City.

I thought to join and post because..well it's good business, and from what I am told, many foreigners coming into the Philippines have no idea what a V-Hire is !

So for those who don't know, it's a van, 14 passenger in my case, that you can hire for a one way or round trip to just about any location on Negros.

I'm a 35yo Filipino guy who's friendly and eager to serve. If you're coming to Dumaguete and might need some hired transportion with cccold air conditioning, give me a call or text at xxxxxxxxxx and tell me what you're going to be needing.

I'll make a website soon and add some pictures of myself and the van.

I don't see any rules here saying I shouldn't mention my business, so I'm going on the assumption it's OK.

    Regards..

    Berlie

Oops I almost forgot. I regularly bring 'special' varieties of fish like tangigi, lapu lapu etc up to Dgte from southern Negros markets fresh off the boats.

I sell some fish at the Dgte Market, and also supply one restaurant in town with their fish. Anyone needing fresh fish at a good price, let me know, and I'll tell what types are available and what the day's price per kilo is on each one.

    Van Hire in Dumaguete

    Hi Berlie,

Nice to see you on the site, and yes you are right, it is good business to join here and let people know about your business

How about some sample prices as well?

Say Dumaguete to Bais - wait there while dolphin watching and sand bar..then back to Dumaguete...

Or Dumaguete to Bacolod for the adventurous who wants to try the land route to Boracay

There were another poster recently asking about price from the airport to downtown as well

Another good idea for business owners here is to put a line in your signature about your business maybe with a link to your website if you have one, that way your business gets exposure every time you post information on the forum.

    Anyways, welcome to Dumaguete Info.

I will keep your number and give you a call. And welcome to the forum. As Dane said, it would be nice if you will post how much you charge per route or per day.... Hired one before, just a drive to Antulang, lunch at the Sea forest Beach Resort and visit different places in Dumaguete and back to our Hotel- South Sea Hotel after dinner at the boulevard for 1,000PhP. I think it wasn't bad at all.

Welcome to the forum, Bernie. I agree with Dane and chrissar, it would be nice if you post how much you charge for certain trips. That way, we will have an idea as to how much it costs. Thanks:smile:

Welcome Berlie to the forum here. Everyone is glad to have tips for transport, but be transparant on your charges and be honest. I cannot talk for other nationalities, but I will tell you about the Dutch, you can understand positive or negative, international we are doomed people (so negative) as you will learn:
    1. Dutch are not interested in the presentation, just the price, contents is better than the cover. So no upgrading stories and we expect service and value for money.
    2. In money Dutch have an elefant-memory, so one mistake is enough to destroy your business.
    3. Dutch time is not Philippine time.
Just to help you. I am Dutch, so legal to judge.
