Pretty quiet indeed:smile: What time of the day was this? Since this is Perdices St, it is very rare to see just one pedicab on the street:wink:

Yeah I agree, seem strange there's only few tricycles on sight when that photo was taken . I wish the Perdices street and the boulevard will come pedistrianized in the future and no motor vehicles allowed unless for medical emergencies ,and the least are those for cargo purposes.People just have to walk or cycle or the tri-sikad services come in for people who hates to walk .I think it would be lovely to see those streets not flooded with traffic and get dusty ,more fresher air, more so in the boulevard . Instead tile the whole street up and plant a few line of trees or little flower patches in the middle . I have seen few bigger cities near my area and of some european countries which sections in the cities transformed , to more viably and environmentally friendly design ; completely pedistrianized he whole street area, with trees planted and they ultimately change the landscpe for good and makes it cooler and less polluted.According to some environmental experts ,a single tree in its lifetime can absorb a ton of carbon emissions .Though the size of dumaguete is negligible compared to vastness of the global whole, but if every town like the size of Dumaguete will do its fare share , it will contribute a step further to curb the emissions of greenhouse gases.

Dumaguete government has only to take a slow pace for a start, and ban all forms of smoke belching vehicles only along the perdices and the boulevard.Have it all tiled and the space can be use instead as extended serving areas of the restaurants /cafes lining along.I think it would be a lot nicer and adding to it some character. Though this can only be just a dream.

When we went to Lee it looked as if the entire town was standing at the entrance. I would have preferred to go whenever that photo was taken.

Not a fan of crowds...which made going into town an adventure most of the time. Didn't hear any "Hey Joe" in town, though...only once we got further out.

I guess people in dumaguete are used to seeing many kano 'caucasians' and yelling to a kano 'hey joe' in the middle of the city or at Lee's would look like rural 'barriohanun' pinoy attitude, isn't making flattering impression to a filipino who does it.It gets him the impression of BAKYA or BISAYA KAAYU .lols

Where exactly is Mart One Center located? Is that the old Lee Plaza right next to Ever theater?

You can find MART ONE in Perdices Street opposite Lee Super Plaza....
They also got a PIZZA HUT restaurant in there....which you can see on the pic in the bottom right hand corner

    Freedom Park

Here I have a Pic of the Freedom Park in Dumaguete near Negros Oriental Sate University.
Normally there are many students sitting on the grass and learning or doing whatever...
