Welcome on board Kewl, my husband and I are currently in Dumaguete. Am new in Dumaguete but been here for a week and am loving it. Love the boulevard, the view, the restaurants along the boulevard, Hayahay, Coco Amigos, Why Not, Don Atilano to name a few but a little bit disappointed in Wakagi, japanese restaurant at La Residencia Al Mar.

Kewl, I love Dumaguete, and can't wait to move there. Where are you working? My wife is from Manila and used to work in Hong Kong. I know a lot of Filipinos work in Kuwait and U.A.E., especially with all the new building going on in Dubai. Peace to you, Richard

    Hey richard,

I am working in vietnam now not in the middle east. We are working on a power plant project this is a combined cycle power plant. Well thanks guys. Your presence in dumaguete also helps us specially the local economy. Thanks a lot. Dumaguete has a lot to offer and your comments and suggestions can also help us improve Dumaguete. I am optimistic that dumaguete would change more to a nicer place to live, more beautiful, and a lot safer for people to live for you and me. Let us all be helpful build Dumaguete in our own small way. Thanks a lot.

That must be interesting. I'd love to see Vietnam. They experienced such a long, hard war. I'd love to see how things are now.

Ow!!! Now Vietnam is practically moving up. I think now their growth rate is the highest among the southeast asian country. The construction of power plant is also moving up because in the next few years they are expecting heavy demand of electricity. The people are nice here and friendly too. Their police doesnt carry guns but most of the people are also law abiding citizens. Many of the people are so afraid of the Police and i dont know why. I dont know much either with their judicial system here. Many motorbikes here in Vietnam. I think almost all of the people have motorbikes as their means of transportation here. The people are very much excited when they could see foreigners but the only problem is they could not speak english so we have to also know their language to communicate a bit. There are some people who can speak but only a few of them. In here where i am situated i could not see any mountains from Ho chi minh going to the south when i travel with the bus. But in general Vietnam is now steady in terms of growth.
