I have done just that, and must say that it is really nice. The girl I was with loved it. Beautiful views at dusk. I believe the rooms were quite pricey, but I was staying on Alona Beach, and rented a scooter to get there. Also visited the Panglao Nature Park on another night. Another beautiful place with a few pools with great views. Not to sure I would recommend renting a motorscooter there if you have no experience. Probably not a good place to learn. I grew up on bikes so no prob with me, but could be for a less experienced rider. That being said, if you can rie, a bike is the best way of getting around and seeing things. You see all the kids walking to and from school and most smile and wave to you. Very friendly people.

people sitting beside the road at night is also my problem. i might hit them... good if the roads here in dgte are wide...... some just suddenly cross the street.... and some street don't have lights especially in sibulan, the road along the coast. i don't know the place if not mistaken lala-an, sibulan. i don't understand to people sitting along the road... aside from the dust and smoke they enhaled, the danger of sitting down there.

I try not to drive after dark, the thing that bugs me is lights and a lack of lights. People just do not know how to use their light or that they need lights. Its okay to travel short distances but longer distances give me stress and I normal endup with a head ache. I love driving but prefer to be much more relaxed. Daytime driving gives me little stress in fact I enjoy the dodgems of the cities.

yep in many ways Fillipines should improve their competitiveness when it comes to tourism, there is a lot of good stuff to chose from in this world, it might just be down to local prices in general being too high

I have never been there yet but my officemate brought some of their products like the sandwich spread. It is delicious and healthy...
