The sad thing is, I have never eaten at her eatery in Dumaguete or in any branch. But I always have someone to run for me to her eatery (at Silliman Ave) to buy some of her famous barbecue (inasal), whenever we are in Dumaguete. Green mango juice soury sweet...hmm, might try that. Thanks.

My friends and i will be going to dumaguete on june. i think we'll definitely visit and eat at Jo's by the Sea. thanks for this info. and of course to this forum and website. been helping us alot in planning our visit to dumaguete.

by the way, inasal is another word for inihaw or barbeque. so inasal can be anything else other than chicken.

My GF & I along with fiends & family stopped by JO's and we all enjoyed the food .I also had the spicy shrimp and everyone else had the BBQ chicken. The view was nice and the with the garden across the street was also very nice to look at although we did not go in.We plan on eating there next time we are in Negros. So if anyone is thinking about stopping there I would recommend it.

mmmm........kinilaw is my FAVORITE dish in the Phl! You guys are starting to make me really miss all the good food in the PHL. Interestinly enough, many volunteers that have come to the PHL would only search out food from their own culture. They really missed out on trying new dishes and figuring out what they liked in the PHL. It would crack me up that they munched on fried chicken and such while they missed out on some excellent PHL cuisine! I was fortuneate enough to have enough filipino friends that helped introduce me to a lot of great filipino foods and didn't give up on me. If I didn't like one thing then they would have me try another item. Certainly the BEST place to experience filipino foods is at a fiesta when all the BEST is home cooked and you can taste from a variety of items. I so miss the fiestas!
