Nice pics .Those yellow and red odd ones next to the outrigger boat look like pedal boats ,must be fun. They weren't there last time .I'm sure nxt time we'll visit there again .

Twin lakes area is safe ,people in nearby villages will tell you that.I'd really like to trek over those ridges towering the lake and look at the other side. They said over that ridge on the farthest side the smaller lake is already Valencia overlooking Palinpinun.

Hi Pickled_newt, I'd like to do that too.... (go over the ridge). When you say "smaller lake" do you mean Lake Danao (its twin lake)?

Hello paulB, yes it is ok to camp next to the lake. We did it last year. We set up our tent just to the left across the cottage down the stairs. Be safe, Enjoy and have fun! :D

I've asked the caretakers and the camping site is across the lake. You will use the small boats to ship your belongings if you plan to stay camping. Or you can pay for rooms/cottages as you enter the Twin lakes.

HI PICKLED_NEWT, you're right, there are two lakes ( twin lakes) and in between these twin lakes is a viewing deck where you can see best of the twin lakes. You will never know the secret of these twin lakes unless you will be there and discover it yourself. Beautiful, enchanting place.

I went there together with Columbo last December 2006.

The road going there was a piece of cake or as they say wala problema.

The only thing i am scared for is if i get a flat tire cus i hate walking while pushing a Honda Xrm 125.

Basicly thats all u need to get up there plus sufficient gasoline

If i get kidnapped by the NPA 's female branch please do not rescue me :D

    I will manage.

finally did it.. I camped together with my engineers..some pictures of the camp across the lake. It was approximately 1.5 kms away, took us around 30 mins for a 3 KM/hr speed of the banca ( i got a GPS to verify the speed of the boat)... which would realy actually compute 1.5 Kms distance...

    Camping area pictures:
